CCSVI is proposed as a mechanical defect (jugular stenosis)
that causes Multiple Sclerosis.
For the the science, media reports & patient resources, return to
Main CCSVI page.
For updates on my status, see my
CCSVI blog.
Here are my images from Magnetic Resonance Venography
(MRV), flouroscope and X-ray.
These show the CCSVI diagnosis, and corrective stent placement.
AFTER: 01/14/09 Upper neck MRV image showing
jugular stenosis corrected by stent placement on 10/29/09.
Dark ring around jugulars is the refraction from the stent material.
BEFORE:
10/29/09 Side view MRV. Collateral veins are trying
to make up for the blocked jugular.
10/29/09 Two stents &1 angioplasty in the left jugular, and 1 stent in the right
jugular, were required to restore normal blood
flow out of my brain.Flouroscope taken during procedure.
10/29/09 Video series of stenosis and stent images,
before procedure. Click HQ on playback controls for High Quality.
AFTER: 11/26/09 Regular X-Ray taken 1 month after stents
installed. Note: my doctor confirmed the lower left stent is where it's
supposed to be. Even thought they look very close together in earlier
flouroscope, this difference is do to parallax, angels of different sight.
